Magpie Mine

I decided to have a drive around The Peak District looking for old farm machinery or old stone barns for a light painting project I’m putting together.

Driving around Sheldon in between Moneyash and Bakewell I came across what looked like an old lead mine.

I parked the car and grabbed my camera bag and walked about the 300 yards or so down to the old mine, I put my camera bag down and started to have a walk around the old buildings, I spent about an hour or so just walking around and I found quite a few possible pictures.

The first I decided on was the picture to the left of the old head gear and winding house.

I had decided on a black and white conversion with the old head gear and winding house as the age suited the picture.
